Mentorship

Mentorship Structure

Given the vibrant and large team of researchers that the CIRCLE Lab has, mentorship is available at different levels of expertise. We want everyone to experience mentorship, but we know that assigning people mentors is not effective. We want you to feel like you can approach post-bacc research assistants, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and principal investigators to ask questions about your goals and build a relationship. Your mentor does not have to be the same person as your research project supervisor, but they could be if that is who you connect with the most. If you choose to have the same research supervisor and mentor, the expectation is that they set aside separate time to meet about research progress and mentorship with you. Please see this document for more details on what our mentorship structure at CIRCLE Lab entails.
